Dorado - Stylized Prop Breakdown | Unreal Engine 5

This post showcases a selection of stylized game-ready props created for my Dorado environment project in Unreal Engine 5, inspired by the iconic visual language and atmosphere of Overwatch.

The goal of these props was to reinforce the strong shape language, readability and material definition characteristic of Blizzard’s stylized environments while maintaining a cohesive visual identity across the entire scene.

All props were created following a complete AAA prop art workflow, including high to low poly modeling, baking, UV optimization, stylized texturing and real-time implementation. The project features hero props, modular assets, set dressing elements and environment pieces designed to support both gameplay readability and cinematic presentation.

The breakdowns included in this post showcase topology, UVs, baking workflow, material definition and real-time presentation inside Unreal Engine 5.

Created using Unreal Engine 5, Blender, ZBrush, Substance Painter and Marmoset Toolbag.

Special thanks to Javier Gago Javiskau, Senior Environment Artist at 2K Valencia, for the mentorship, feedback and support throughout the development of this project.

For aesthetic purposes and to improve the set dressing, every render you’ll see from now on does not necessarily represent the exact texture shown, but rather some of the props that contain it.
